person和people都有“人”的意思
那“三个人”到底该说“Three people” 还是“Three persons” 呢？

“People”和“Person”的区别
一、语义方面
Person
Person
主要指 “人；个人；某人”，是可数名词。强调的是一个单个的人，着重个体。
Example：There is a personwaiting for you outside.
Translation：有一个人在外面等你。
People
展开剩余80%People
1、作 “人；人们” 讲时，是集合名词，本身表示复数概念。
Example：Many peoplelike music.
Translation：许多人喜欢音乐。
2、也可指 “民族；种族”，此时是可数名词，有单复数形式。例如：
Example：The Chinese peopleare hard - working.
Translation：中华民族是勤劳的。
二、语法方面
Person
Person
是可数名词，有单复数形式，复数形式是 “persons” 或 “people”。不过，“persons” 比较正式，在法律文件、官方文件等场合使用较多。
Example：No personsshall enter the restricted area without permission.
Translation：未经许可，任何人不得进入禁区。
People
People
表示 “人；人们” 时，谓语动词用复数形式。
Example：Peoplearound the world celebrate different festivals.
Translation：世界各地的人们庆祝不同的节日。
当表示 “民族” 时，可根据具体单复数来决定谓语动词的形式。
Example：A peoplehas its own traditions.
Translation：一个民族有它自己的传统。

不是“人人”的意思
“People person”的真正意思是：人缘好的人，善于交际的人”
Example：She is such a people personthat she can make friends with anyone easily.
Translation：她是个非常善于交际的人，很容易就能和任何人交朋友。

“Little people”
不是“少的人”
“Little people”有三种含义，我们先来看一下英文解释：
1、 小孩子，矮小的人
Example：The little peoplewere running around in the playground.
Translation：小孩子们在操场上到处跑。
2、小精灵，小仙子
Example：In the story, the little peoplelived in a hidden forest and had magical powers.
Translation：在这个故事里，小精灵们住在一片隐秘的森林里并且拥有魔法。
3、在社会层面，还有 “小人物，平民百姓” 的意思。
Example：The documentary focused on the lives of the little peoplewho worked hard every day.
Translation：这部纪录片聚焦于那些每天辛勤工作的小人物的生活。
